Not far from the Mudpuddle Shop, head across Mission Blvd, into Niles Canyon, and veer to the right to fantastic local music gathering. Mike’s pals Tom & Donna Smyth host. It’s another neighborhood Americana Shindig. Some light refreshments provided, but you’re encouraged to BYO drinks and noms.

The Ashville sereies “Music My Mother Would Not Like” is coming to town! Hosts Bruce Swan and Louise Baker are staging their 2nd Year anniversarly of this popular show at the Puddle! They’ve hosted over 90 shows, 3 artists every show, for two years, helping over 300 songwriters pull some serious rent money and connect musicians to fans, the silver lining of this crap called covid. Listeners can Zoom in from all parts of the country, and the three artists will chip in a 25 minute set to the nationwide audience. And, if you want to be part of the LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE in Niles (15 person cap), contact Michael to RSVP a seat and watch the show as it happens. Deborah and Michael will be live in the Puddle with the cameras and lights, while Tom will be in Maryland from his home Zoom studio (we’ll have a ‘studio monitor’ to enjoy his set in the puddle too. Please bring proof of a negative on the day of the show for entry, so we can all relax a bit more in the shoebox that is the Mudpuddle Shop. The Dead End Street IS the part of the front yard Stump Stage scene, at Bruce & Lorna’s Place. Arrive anytime, stay late as you want. There is Probably a late night fire pit circle afterward too.

Niles Community Park “Folk Picnic In The Field Writers In The Round ” Featuring Angie Heimann, Jay Brown, Michael McNevin (and Los Horribles locals swapping tunes before and after). 37697 3rd St Fremont, CA 94536. The park is Off 3rd Street, at the corner of H. Three Blocks from the Mudpuddle Shop. Enter the Park, then park, and find us behind the Tennis Court in a field under a bunch of big shade trees. Public bathroom is right there, along with the creek, lakes, and a battery powered sound system to please the ears of 15-50 attendees. No RSVP required, just show up with a lawn chair and picnic and grab some grass.
