San Diego to Red Bluff if you're around a corner, or, grab your tent and drive. Roadtripping with Dad for part of this, with a slew of other songwriter friends jumping into the lineups. The "SummerSongs" Song camp is also coming up in early June. Many of these gigs and fests include pretty cool RV-ing camping opportunities if you're inclined to tent, fly, drive. Stay late, or over night, on a river or a golf course or an apple orchard... cinderella story, at Augusta, to lead the pack... former greens keeper about to become, the masters champion.

Wed May 10. Pasadena, CA. Wine & Song series. At Arroyo Seco golf course. (Not kidding, it's great) Walk Ups Welcome to this series, w/ Sweet talk Radio, McNevin, host Brad Colerick, and others. It's all about chemistry. Sweet Talk Radio is husband and wife team Kathrin Shorr and Tim Burlingame. This dynamic duo, based in Los Angeles, draws on the combination of Shorr's captivating vocals and Burlingame's lyrical guitar. Their music has earned them recurring spots on the iTunes Singer-songwriter chart and the ears of music supervisors on some of today's top TV shows. For singer-songwriter Mikael Pederson, music is a way to connect with the world and inspire those around him. An Oregon native, his music has drawn comparisons to John Mayer, James Taylor, and Ryan Adams. With hints of soul and blues driven guitar riffs, he adds vivid storytelling to create a compelling performance. We'll also hear some tunes from two very special guests - Cynthia Carle and Michael McNevin. Gonna be a great one, friends! We're golfing at 5pm by the way (not kidding, it's on a cool retro 3-par golf course. get there by 5pm for tee time on 9 holes of it. McNevin's dad Jack, coauthor of "Hob Thrasher" will be there too, he shoots his age and he's 82! After the show quite a few writers (you're invited) will camp/RV in the parking over night, it's like a park. Memorial Day Weekend me and Pat McCellan will be "Towing" the Airscreamer Guitar, the upright bass, the Sears Silvertone, the trusty Alvarez acoustic up north to Red Bluff Recreation Area. The the one and only Antsy McClain and The Trailer Park Troubadours band run this family-friendly aluminum affair, they have the WHOLE park to themselves. Even your friendly dog is welcome to camp with us at this thing. A flock of about 300 "Flamingo-Heads" come from all parts to play tunes, camp, eat, make friends and share laughs. All inclusive, just bring a tent, or your canned ham trailer, or use the cabins (first come first serve), or go big with the numerous RV hookeups 100 yards away. Plenty of roofed lodging options five mins from festival site too, for the "Glampers". Kids under 12 are free with a paying adult. LOTS to do for the kids. Bring a pink flamingo lawn ornament if you got one, it's the rage. Another little factoid: Antsy actually called me out of the blue a few months back to join in the fun, not aware that I own a genuine Hard To Find special edition Epiphone/Gibson "Trailer Park Troubadours" Electric Guitar hanging on the Mudpuddle Shop wall (it's shaped like an Airstream, the hubcap is the volume knob, and his band name is on the headstock!
