Other stuff is a songwriter workshop for teens, and some Etch A Sketch art for the little tykes. Check in with the festival site for lineups and the printed program as you enter the fest. The Mudpuddle Shop. Mare Wakefield and Nomad in concert, plus after swap. 8pm. $20 BYO. RSVPs are a very good idea. A one-hour feature set by Mare & Nomad from Nashville, followed by a Mudpuddle Song Swap with other pickers in the room. Likely opener act TBD. Heard these two at the Kerrville Folk Festival New-Folk competition in Texas in Spring of 2015 and then again at the same festival in 2016. They do some really cool down-home and worldly writing. Great musicianship, songs, voices, people. Also worth a mention, and a sweet surprise to me, they recorded a beautiful rendition of "Scarecrow". I swear I was already going to host them BEFORE they did that, but man, did that get me in my straw heart in all kinds of good ways. The McNevin Carter Fleming McClellan Spokes and Oaks Los Horribles Band Of Beerers play an afternoon at "Das Brew" Brewery in Fremont on Sat Sept 10th 3-6pm. Casual and fun, pop in and have a pop. Michael McNevin (Niles) & Corrina Carter (Covina) front on vocals and guitars, Pat McClellan (Roseville) on Upright Bass, and Tim Fleming (South Pasadena) on Pedal Steel, Dobro, and other gadgets. Likely others sit in some too, one would imagine. Das Brew is an Award winning craft brewery in the industrial area of Grimmer Blvd in Fremont. Comfy bar, with in and outdoor cafe tables, couches, a couple TVs, feels like you're on a baja beach, but instead of the ocean you look out on a beautiful grey parking lot. NOTE: Das Brew is also pouring the beer at our Sunday Sept 11th LEAF Harvest Music Festival in Niles.

For the rest of the weekend, McNevin & McCelllan & Friends will be at Lotus or at the MainStage hang. Musician friends and festival campers and listeners are lwelcome to the campfire hang at Camp Lotus RV slot #1, the first one on the right past the main Lotus office and camp store. This festival hosts about 500 folks max in each camp, intimate and spacious camping and music, lots of shade, right on the river.
