February 2015 & Beyond, Everywhere, The World

Hello friends near and far, here are some February gigs in CA and beyond. Have a great month and a terrific muddy year.

Love & safe travels ~ Michael   Thur Feb 12th  7-8pm On-The-Air Santa Clara, CA -- Live on KKUP 91.5FM. Show at 7pm, I'm on at 7:15 for a 40 minute visit of songs and interview. People at home or in cars in Fremont, South Bay, and Monterey, get pretty easy reception. No streaming of the show a the moment, you'll have to tune the old fashioned radio. It's the weekend Marathon Kickoff, listen all weekend to this all listener supported juggernaut. Houston Jones Band also goes on, right after me.

Fri Feb 13th  6-9pm  Niles, CA - Valentine's Day gig at The Vine in Niles - 6-9pm in the sandbox in back as part of the "Love Bites" scene there. I'm singing mostly love songs I suppose? It may be sold out in front, not sure, but the back may have flexibility. Lovebirds can visit www.thevineinniles.com and see what's up for available seating.

Sat Feb 14th  7-10pm Berkeley, CA  - There's a mulit-act music thing going on at the Monkey House in Berkeley, the brain child of pal Ira Marlowe. 7-10pm. I hope to visit after I hang in Oakland with a guy named Charlie who's turning 82. Berkeley/Oakland Peeps have an interesting fun little private venue to discover in the Monkey House. Research and contact Marlowe privately, limited seating, by RSVP only.

Sun Feb 15th  2-5pm Niles, CA - Afternoon Mudpuddle Pickin' Party with McNevin & The Horribles, plus special guest feature by Juliet Gobert from Nevada City. This is a semi-regular jam/swaps/features thing on occasional Sundays. Juliet Gobert is an amazing voice and songwriter from Nevada City. No RSVPs required, BYO, 2-5pm at The Mudpuddle Shop. First come first served for rocking chairs. 37433 Niles Blvd Fremont CA 94536  (510) 794-9935 if you're lost.

Sun Feb 15th  8-10pm Fremont, CA - There is a new open mic at Mojo Lounge, fun, all acoustic. Just getting it off the ground, songwriter Martin Murray is the OM Host and Bartender there. Any songwriters and/or acoustic cover players can crash it and support it so it becomes a healthy Sunday Night venue for us all. Juliet Gobert is also crashing that one if you miss her at the puddle. Do the puddle, do dinner, then pop over to Mojo Lounge in Fremont on Peralta Blvd. 7:30 sign up.

Mon Feb 16th.  7:30-10:30 Hayward, CA. A one set feature at Jim Safer's monthly open stage. Jim does a 1/2 hour set at 7:30, McNevin is on at 8pm for a 40 minute set, then about 8:45 the open stage sign ups take over. Sign ups are at 7:30. Juliet Gobert will again crash that one, as will a whole gang of friends in this long running open mic of Jim's. Monday is also a holiday, so live a little!
