Jan '14 is off and running, and Dec '13 won't go quietly - Sat Night I'm at The Monkey House with Teresa Tudury & Ira Marlowe in Berkeley. Sunday Afternoon is a MudPuddle Shop Swap w/ Sandi & The Rockerfellers, Phil Bennett, and others of "Los Medicres" ilk. The 2nd Annual Muddy New Years Eve Music Party Dec 31st has musicians & listeners all enjoying a variety show. 2014 starts with a bang - big concerts at the littlest venue west of the Mississippi, including a Jan 7th Steve Seskin/Craig Caruthers/Don Henry Mudpuddle cobill, and a Jan 24th Tracy Grammer solo concert, with more muddy nights in the works. Doing a Jan 3rd guest set in Murphys CA at The Black Bart Theater with old friends Box Set duo (Pat McClellan & Rick Moore will be sitting in w/ me there). If you're a songwriter, these bills will inspire. If you want even more inspiration, look into the WinterSongs West song camp in Cambria Jan 16-19, it's inspiring exponentional :-). Also resuming the 2nd and 4th Thursday 7pm Songwriter Group nights at The Mudpuddle Shop and the Woodshed in Los Gatos, respectively. Thurs-Sun Jan 16th-19th WinterSongs West! In Cambria CA at Camp Ocean Pines This amazing song camp is called WinterSongs West, and is open to any and all levels of songwriters. If you're an experienced writer looking for some muse, or iyou've never written a song or play much at all, this is for you. Musicians/writers/teachers/students of all ages come together to write, play, blossom. I've seen it, it's funner than hell. Yah, I said funner. It happens twice a year, where 7-8 teachers hang with 40-60 students for 4 days. Great meals, small group classes, one on one sessions, and evening "coffeehouse" concerts and song swaps. Howl at the moon, enjoy the cabins, nature, and good company. $500-ish covers 4 days of lodging, meals, classes - everything. Write, learn, enjoy the coast, make life-long friends.
