 Sun Feb 10 6pm - Ira Marlowe in concert at The Mudpuddle Shop. I've known Ira for over 20 years - haven't heard him in forever, so he's coming to the Puddle. First gig we ever did together was in North Beach, early 90s - Dude has a circus in his head, very creative and engaging. Berleley's Daily Planet recently dubbed him, "The Love Child of Tom Waits and Tom Lehrer." A gifted lyricist, his music ranges from poignant and soul-stirring to laugh-out-loud funny, with many wonderful stops in between. Cool voice, cool songs, nice guy. There will be a 4-song opening act (TBA - stay tuned), then Ira will do about an hour. Could devolve to a jam after concert.
