Great fun for a great cause - Santa, Music, Food, a casual social scene for the whole neighborhood - hope you can come out on Sunday, December 2nd for the 3rd Annual "St. Nicks of Niles" benefit show takes place at The Nile Cafe in Fremont. This year's event runs 3pm-9pm. Santa is out front on the sidewalk from 3-6pm (bring the cameras and the tykes!!), and live music will be inside the cafe 6-9pm with McNevin & McClellan and many other special musical guests popping in.
This is a 'casual' event - musicians will mix it up while listeners can mingle, come and go, or listen for a while. Han of the Nile Cafe is also donating 20% of her food sales during the event toward this wonderful cause, so even eating that day at The Nile Cafe will help raise funds. “St. Nick's of Niles” is a group of devoted folks who work with the City of Fremont’s Social Services Dept to provide holiday happiness to families and seniors in the area who are in need during the holidays. The group provides gift baskets & grocery cards in the hopes that they can make the holidays a little less stressful for those in our community hit hard during difficult economic times.
There is no minimum cover charge for Dec 2nd, guests are encouraged to donate any amount, which is also a tax deductible. Cash, check or gift cards for grocery or department stores are a big help in the donation baskets. The Benefit's six hours of "drop in" time allows for fun for the entire family. In this season of giving, there are many ways to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate and this Dec 2nd party is a good one! We hope you can drop in on the 3rd annual "St. Nicks of Niles" gathering at The Nile Cafe on Sunday Dec 2nd.
