Reinstein Ranch - Music & BBQ

Reinstein Ranch - Music, BBQ, Horse Riding, 8201 Highland Road, Livermore, CA

A 6pm BBQ & Music at a Livermore Ranch, for 10 bucks! And, during the day on both Sat and Sun, Jeff Sanders gives a VAQUERO HORSEMANSHIP CLINIC. That's a separate thing to do, if you like to watch horses in action on a working ranch. Jeff is a renowned horseman and teaches riders this art form all over the world. The 6pm Saturday eve festivities happen after the clinic, for all the riders, the folks who 'Audit' the daytime stuff, and for those who just want to come to the BBQ and music - it's all open to the public. 10 bucks gets you the BBQ and Campfire Music (what a deal!). McNevin & McClellan play, and others may also chip in on a tune or two.

More about the Vaquero stuff: The 12 slots for riders in the clinic is sold out, but anyone can 'audit' the class for 25 bucks during the day, watch them work with the horses. That includes a lunch. If 'auditors' show up later in the day on Saturday, after 3pm or so, it won't cost to watch a couple hours of the horses work, then head over to the BBQ & Music.

RSVP by Thursday so they have a head count for eaters and/or listeners for the evening stuff. $10 “Dinner & Concert” $25 to audit

Rain or Shine, the horse work is in a covered arena. Music will happen outdoors if it's nice out, or indoors at the ranch house, or other covered spot on the ranch if it's cold or wet.

• Hackamore fitting, function & use • Body position, balance and timing - how it affects your horse • Practical maneuvers for ranch, arena & trail work • & Plenty of other stuff!
