Sept 14-16 is a musical heaven in the Sierra foothills, in the old mining town of Coloma on the American River. Live music takes place in town in their large park for the main stage, and also in venues around town for night time stuff, and also in 3 very chill river rafting campgrounds - the music scene is everywhere in multiple indoor and outdoor venues. Here's the McNevin & McClellan schedule for the festival, come say hi :-) Friday night 7:45 as part of the Musician's Showcase at American River Resort campground; Saturday night 8:00 pm camp concert at Camp Lotus campground; Sunday morning 9:00 am for an 'audience participation' songwriting romp at American River Resort camp ground (bring your crayons, we'll write something?!) The River Rafting Bus Fleets run continuously so you can access all the stages and areas with two minute rides (fun in that too!) to camps, main stage, town, etc. (might seem confusing, but once you're there you appreciate the ease and genius of it all!) Great fest for campers and musicians. somewhere around a 100 bucks for a full pass to camp out, hear the main stage during the day, and the music in the campground stages too. Unbeatable way to end the summer :-)

Coloma, CA on on hwy 49, just north of Placerville (which is on hwy 50) less then an hour from Sacramento in the gold country!
