I'll be doing a 'premier showcase' at the FARwest regional conference, which takes place Oct 21-24, in Santa Clara, CA, at the Santa Clara Convention Center and adjoining Hyatt Regency. (directly following John McEuen of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band fame on Saturday Night). This event is like the Kerrville Folk Fest in a box -- premier showcases, plus lots of late night hotel room "Guerilla" showcases, lobby & hallway jams, industry workshops, catching up with old friends, making new ones. It's an awesome time - if you're a musician (or even just a fan interested in this kind of insanity), and you fall under that Folk or Americana music genre, this is a good networking event with concert presenters, radio folks, industry folks, and artists filling the hotel from all over the Western US and beyond.
