I met Tracy in AZ two or three years ago at a music conference, outside her own showcase room. Had no idea how talented she was. I drove home to CA listening to the many CDs I'd traded over the weekend..., and then got to hers. Wow. Songs and production are great, the lyrics are poignant, funny, stories with twists, vignettes about all kinds of big and little things that she effortlessly puts into words, life snapshots. No wonder she's had such an interesting career in the arts. Remarkable really - she's been a songwriter all her life, but she writes/produces the show "According to Jim", she's been on Johnny Carson as a card trickster, she won an Emmy for the "Ellen" coming out episode. She's driving up with her trio from L.A. on Saturday Sept 10th for her first visit to Niles (with her own Holllywood roots, she'll love this old film town!)
