This show has been going forever on Pacifica Cable, and then syndicated to quite a few other bay cable stations. I affecionately refer to Bruce's show as "Johnny Carson on acid". Except it's pretty heavy on the music - usually two guests, one of which (me) will play 4 songs in the hour long show. It's a really well run show, 3 cameras, spot on sound engineering and lighting, and an interview that is always a ball. Fun to do, and also to watch if you're lucky enough to catch it. Or, how about attending this one live? The taping is open to a live audience, you're allowed to watch and clap just a few feet from the action, and eat the spread they put out for the visitors who join in. This may be one of Bruce's very last shows, having done NINE HUNDRED shows, 20 years, it's sad to see him go - he's an icon in the bay area music and cable DIY scene, with an astounding number of high profile bands and artists and celebs at his desk and on his stage. I've been on this show 10 times over the years -- proof I had hair on my head back in the day, thanks to him. If you'd like to be part of the caravan to the Pacifica channel 8 cable station studio for his last taping, let me know and I'll get you directions (and helmets in case the grip drops a light on your head :-).
