The Red Shoes are teenage sisters Lucia and Flavia Purpura_Pontoniere from the Hayward area. They adeptly play & sing Appalicia and Celtic tunes on Fiddle and Cello. First spotted playing the Niles Library to a dozen kids, they were booked to play the Niles Plaza Summer Concert Series, the Brasks saw them there and booked them for the Mission Coffee Concert series. Since then they have played at the Freight & Salvage, Berkeley Old Time Music Festival, and other more prestigious places. Their star is on the rise!
Women with Strings Attached - Mira Wooten, Lucy Billings and Deborah Thacker. Fans have compared them to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young with a womans touch. If you love beautiful three part harmony vocals and great original songs as well as some favorite cover tunes that span the genres of folk, roots and blues give them a listen.
Michael McNevin is a Niles-based singer-songwriter, with quite a few songs about places, characters, life, and history from the Fremont area. Michael has been a Main Stager at the Strawberry, High Sierra, Kerrville, & Philadelphia folk festivals. He is also a 6 time winner of the West Coast Songwritters Association "Song of the Year" Award.
