Armando's in Martinez April 13th with McNevin & McClellan and The Keller Sisters Band

This Saturday Night in Martinez! McNevin & McClellan are stoked to join our buddies The Keller Sisters Band for a cobill at Armandos. The Kellers are bringing a couple slingers with them, Terry Hiatt on lead guitar and Scot Larsen on bass, their inaugural voyage as a band. McNevin brings pal Patrick McCellan on upright bass and vocals. McNevin has a burn of new songs in the offering, it's white, written on with a sharpie, and misspelled as "The White Albume" so as not to be confused with The Beatles. Armandos is a wonderful woody Americana listening club, great acoustics, seating, vibe, history. The kind of place an artist hopes to play again, if you get the drift :-). This one leads to the next one, keeps the thang thriving. If you haven't been there already, time to discover Armandos. From wherever you harken, share the night with us, gonna be sweet! Check the cool poster below created by Mississippi Mike! Rumor has it we'll have some signed editions of it available, kind of like a Jefferson Airplane thing, only different.

More about the artists:
"The honey-warm harmonies and slice-of-life charm of the Keller Sisters' debut EP Shine recalls the days of summers past. Siblings Sheryl and Kerry have produced a heartfelt collection of folk music, one that also reveals the influence of the Beatles and classic country music. The opening track, the witty "Hillbilly Blond," struts with Bonnie Raitt-styled swagger and trailer-park spunk. The song's locomotive beat and blistering harmonica add to the smoke left in its path. "Can't Believe My Luck" veers toward the Keller Sisters' Americana side, back-to-basics country without the Nashville cheese "..

California songwriter Michael McNevin grew up in the train town of Niles, CA. His songs read like short stories. Accomplished guitar work and seasoned vocals underscore the characters and places he comes across in his travels. He is a winner of the Kerrville New-Folk award in Texas, a "DYI Artist Of The Year" for Performing Songwriter Magazine, and is a 8-time winner of the West Coast Songwriters "Song Of The Year" award. He's shared the bill with Johnny Cash & The Carter Family, Shawn Colvin, Donovan, Richie Havens and many others.

"I don't know what's best about 'Sketch' - Michael McNevin's music or his Etch-A-Sketch drawings that accompany each song. McNevin is a singer songwriter of the highest order..."

"...heard you on the KFOG acoustic Sunday morning show ...bagging groceries and an Etch-A-Sketch. Two of my historical accomplishments .. dig the tunes "
