Friends! Ten days of troubadouring with McNevin & Heimann & Brown, starting this Friday March 8th 2019, in Livermore at The Bothwell Arts Center, followed by several more NoCal triple bills in Mendocino, Roseville, Niles, San Rafael, and live radio performances on KPIG and KZYX. Gigs through St. Paddy's day, details below!
Angie Heimann & Jay Brown of The Appalachians from Asheville, NC, take to the road with Niles troubadour Michael McNevin, slinging songs and swag. The latest CD effort from The Appalucians is "Bright Hills", and will be on the merch table along with Angie and Jay's other solo and band projects. McNevin will have several of his titles available too, plus a special demo of 10 new tunes, temporarily titled "White Albume" (the faulty spelling helps differentiatethe McNevin white computer disc burn from with The Beatles actual "White Album"... McNevin writes on the white disc burn with a sharpie... it's a thing). The concerts will split short 3-4 song solo sets, then bring them together for a healthy dose of "In The Round" camaraderie. The tunesmiths will share harmonies, soloing, and stories, and occasionally add another friend on select bills - Patrick McClellan will be Mike's duo partner for the Roseville show, Gwyneyth Moreland joins them as a fourth songwriter on the Caspar bill, Laura and Dave will add fiddle and mandolin and harmony, and a tune or two of theirs, to the San Rafael show.

We'll have a thimble of green beer, swap tunes with the trio and "Los Horribles" friends too, then say goodbye to Angie and Jay as they roll out for a midnight flight back to Asheville. Listeners and pickers drop in anytime. McNevin is Irish... so maybe Message Mike to secure a seat. But it's a come and go policy for now.
